Tim's Hair Art (81 Prospect St, Suite 215, Brooklyn, NY 11201) runs this booking site. This policy covers the information we collect when you visit, book, shop, sign in or message us, and how we use it.
Account details: your name, email, mobile number and password (stored only as a one-way hash). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from them.
Bookings and purchases: the services you book, your stylist, appointment times, notes you add, and what you buy in the shop or classes.
Payments: card details are entered straight into Square or Stripe and never touch our servers. We keep the amount, status and a payment reference.
Messages and photos: texts, emails and in-app messages you send us, and any photos you attach (for example, inspiration pictures).
Technical data: your IP address and browser type (kept with your sign-in session for security), and error reports if something breaks.
To take and manage your bookings, process payments, send confirmations and reminders, let you message your stylist, deliver shop orders and classes, prevent fraud and spam, and keep the site working. We do not use your information for advertising and we do not sell it.
Some replies to your texts and emails are drafted by an AI assistant so you get a fast answer about times, prices and bookings. To do this, the content of your message and the details needed to answer it (such as available times or your upcoming appointment) are sent to our AI provider, Groq, which processes them on our behalf. Ask for a person at any time and a member of the team will pick it up.
Only the service providers that run this site for us, and only what each one needs:
Your stylist sees the details of bookings with them. We may also share information if the law requires it. Mobile numbers and SMS consent are never shared for anyone's marketing; see the SMS Privacy Policy.
We only use cookies that the site needs to work: one keeps you signed in, and Square or Stripe set their own on the payment step to stop fraud. Your in-progress booking is saved in your own browser so a refresh doesn't lose it. We don't use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or social media pixels.
For as long as you have an account, and afterwards only as long as we need to for tax, accounting and legal reasons. Then we delete or anonymize it.
You can update your details in your account at any time. To get a copy of your information, correct it, or have it deleted, email hello@timshair.art and we'll respond within 30 days. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights, and we will honor them.
This site is for adults. A parent or guardian should book for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls so only the right people see your information. No system is perfect, so tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.
